Abstract
Adding EtherTRAK-2 modules to an Tool Kit project file can be added quicker than adding individually using the redundancy feature in the ST-IPm-8460/ST-IPm-6350/ST-IPm-2350/ST-IPm-1350/VT-IPm-1410/VT-IPm-2410. Enable the redundancy features in the RTU and use the add remote I/O link feature to quickly add modules.

Enable Redundancy Features and EtherTRAK-2 modules
- Highlight or create a RTU configuration and go to Configure> Configure Station/Module > General tab. Check the Automatically configure a secondary controller and Enable built-in redundancy check boxes. The “Redundant Controller Options” tab will appear.
- Go to the Redundant Controller Options tab. Uncheck the “Red Lion Redundancy” check box. Go to the I/O Transfer tab.

If you want the I/O Transfer to be automatically set-up using Sixnet UDR UDP/IP communication, then check the “Create a Remote I/O Link module and I/O Transfer” check box. If you just want the module to be added to the project file then uncheck that box.
-
- Repeat the process to add as many EtherTRAK-2 modules as needed.
Disable Redundancy Features
- Once all the EtherTRAK-2 modules are added and redundancy features are not needed the redundancy feature may be disabled. Go to the General tab and uncheck the redundancy features
