This setting will ensure that the mobile will connect to the network when Mobile IP is supported in the network. If the modem is in an area that does not support MIP, it will drop the session.
From BlueVue Device Manager (Safest way)
Select the Configuration Tab
Select the General tab
Under Initialization String, enter the following string:
AT$QCMIP=2 (not case sensitive)
From Hyperterminal
Telnet into modem through IP then enter the following sequence of AT commands:
- ATE1
- AT+BCMODE=0
- ATH
- AT+BSERMD=98
- ATE1
- AT$QCMIP=2
- AT&W
- *reset modem*
