NTCD-128
The NTCD-128 is a specially formatted SD memory card that is used for saving or restoring switch configuration parameters quickly without the need for a computer or software. One configuration device per switch is recommended. The NTCD-128 will copy the current configuration from a 700/7000 switch and can be used to "paste" the configuration to another 700/7000 switch of the same model.
The Process to Write to the NTCD-128
Insert the NTCD-128 card in the correct orientation as shown on the label next to the slot. Access the web interface and navigate to the Config page. Additional text will now show up that read "Changes will also be saved to the configuration device.". Hitting "Save" will now save and write a copy of your switch's configuration to the NTCD-128.
The Process to Write to the 700/7000 Switch
The 700/7000 switch must start in a powered off state. Insert the NTCD-128 card in the correct orientation as shown on the label next to the slot. Power on the switch; you can now log into the switch using the IP address and login credentials that was saved to the NTCD-128. Remove the NTCD-128 card and navigate back to Config page and save the configuration the 700/7000 switch.
*Note: The configuration saved the NTCD-128 card MUST originate from the same 700/7000 switch model. You will see a red warning banner if this is not the case. The NTCD-128 format is proprietary. Do NOT attempt to format the NTCD-128 device in your computer/Laptop if prompted - doing so may render your card inoperable with the 700/7000 series.
