PLEASE NOTE:
When converting from a legacy CUB50000, or pre 2004 CUB5B000 to the current CUB5B or CUB5R unit. There will be differences in the rear terminal layout as well as terminal labeling. See Below
This article will discuss the conversion from a legacy CUB5 unit to the current CUB5 model.

IN THIS ARTICLE
To complete the conversion of from the legacy CUB5 units to current CUB5 units proceed as below
- Connect the INPUT A and if applicable the INPUT B wires to the Input A and Input B terminals of the new CUB5. If the old unit had wires on FILTER A or FILTER B. You will still connect them to INPUT A and INPUT B terminals. You also will have to remove the rear unit cover and set DIP switch 2 and 4 to Lo Frequency (ON) position.
- Connect the USER INPUT wire if applicable to the USR INP terminal of the new CUB5 unit.
- If applicable mount our MLPS1000 (12 Vdc) or MLPS2000 (24 Vdc) the PWR COM and +9-28 Vdc terminals.
- If using an external Vdc power supply. Connect the Vdc+ wire to the +9-28 Vdc terminal.
- Connect the Common wire to the PWR COM terminal of the new CUB5 unit.
- Please note There is no PROGRAM terminal on the current version of the CUB5 unit. That terminal when jumped to the common terminal allowed for program access. When removed the unit is in Problem disable mode. That mode is also available in the new CUB5 unit and can be setup by programming the USER IN function as a PROLOC in Menu 1-INPUT during unit setup. This is optional if a program disable feature is desired.
