CT Input Information
The PXU has a 0-25 mA AC Current Transformer input. The CT supplied with the unit has a 1:1300 ratio. There is a spreadsheet attached to this Tech Note that calculates the CT's output based on the input current and number of wraps through the CT.
Meter Programming
Viewing the CT Input Value
- In Program Module 3 (3-LC) set Ct1 to dISP.
- From the main display, press the D button until Ct1 is displayed. After a brief period, Ct1 will go away and the current input value will be displayed in milliamps AC.
Configuring the Current Alarms
Minimum Current Alarm
This setting is used to generate an alarm if the current is ABOVE this threshold when the OUTPUT IS OFF, signifying a shorted circuit. The value should be set slightly higher than the typical off-state current of the heater The value represents the mA value that the CT outputs.
Maximum Current Alarm
This setting is used to generate an alarm if the current is BELOW this threshold when the OUTPUT IS ON, signifying a broken circuit. The value should be set slightly lower than the typical on-state current of the heater. The value represents the mA value that the CT outputs.
