This note applies to the following N-Tron series switch models:
Serial DB9: 708FX2, 708TX, 716TX, 716FX2, 7018TX, 7018FX2 7900
USB standard Type B: 709FX, 710FX2, 711FX3, 712FX4-SC, 714FX6, 7012FX2-SC, 7506GX2, 7010TX 7026TX
Switch Serial Port
N-Tron Series managed switches have either a DB9 or USB standard Type-B serial port to access the Command Line Interface (CLI). Use the information provided above to determine which type serial port your switch is equipped with. The USB standard Type-B serial port may require installation of a USB driver. Hardware/Port Settings
The following configuration should be used to configure your terminal emulator application:
Port Settings: 115200
Data Bits: 8
Parity: NONE
Stop bits: 1
Flow Control: None
Logging In (password protection)
Access using the switch command line is password-protected. Once you have the terminal program setup click Open. Press Enter to prompt for the username and password. The default credentials are admin for the username, admin for the password to login. Use your custom credentials in the event you previously changed the credentials from the default.

You can now activate the commands for the switch.
