If you do not already have a TFTP Server application installed on the PC, you will need to install one before beginning the save configuration procedure. Within the instructions Solar Winds TFTP Server application is being used as an example. It has been tested and is available on the internet at no cost.
Of course, any TFTP Server should work fine. Once you have a TFTP Server application install verify/configure the TFTP Server Settings. From the File pull down menu, select Configure to display the General tab. From here we can start and stop the TFTP Server application. Under TFTP Server Root Directory section is the directory to host file by the TFTP Server application. All switch configuration files will be saved and uploaded from this directory.
Click on the Server Bindings tab to select the IP address that will be used by the TFTP Server application. Select Use customer server binding option to select the IP address of the PC network card, use the Currently Available Address box to select the available IP Address for machine network. If by chance the PC network card is unavailable, choose current address using the Click OK to return to the TFTP Server application
Launch a web browser application such as Edge, Chrome, or Firefox. Once loaded, enter the IP address of the switch you wish to import/export a configuration in to the address bar of the browse and log in. Once logged in go to Firmware/Config> TFTP. Enter the TFTP Server IP Address, File Name. From the drop down box you can choose to "Upload saved config to server" or "Download config from server"
