CR1000 and CR3000 HMIs
Resolving CR HMI boot-up issues.
CR1000/CR3000 HMI’s running on Crimson 3.1 build prior to 3116 could get stuck on the boot screen with the CR1000/CR3000 Logo and boot version on the right-hand corner of the screen.
This issue has been fixed in build 3116.
* A copy of the original Crimson 3.1 database (.cd31) running in the unit is required for this process.
Install the latest Crimson 3.1 build from the link below:
Uninstall the current Crimson 3.1 build by going to add /remove programs prior to installing the latest build or click Help-Check for Update with existing the Crimson 3.1 build to update to build 3121.
Open crimson database( .cd31 file), click Link-Options-USB.
Download to the unit via USB as soon as power is applied to the unit by hitting F9 on the PC (Link-Update) with crimson 3.1 software open and USB cable connected.
*This may require multiple attempts.
Another way of downloading to the unit would be using an SD card and by clicking File-Save Image and saving the program under the specific name image.ci3 to SD card
It cannot be any other name. Make sure you do this using the latest build of Crimson 3.1.
Insert SD card and power up the unit, for more details regarding using image files, please refer to Crimson 3.0 and 3.1: Loading a Database Using an Image File.
