PLEASE NOTE:
Recalibration of the panel meter should only be performed if necessary, and only by qualified technicians using appropriate calibration equipment. In some cases, the PAXDP part number may have a B suffix. That just means blank or no logo on the front bezel.

PRE-REQUISITES
- For all calibrations, allow the panel meter to warm up for 30 minutes minimum and follow the manufacturer's warm-up recommendations for the calibration source and measuring device.
- Calibration of this meter requires a signal source with accuracy of 0.01% or better and an external meter with an accuracy of 0.005% or better.
IN THIS ARTICLE
- Input channel and input signal type connection diagram.
- Calibrating the unit inputs to correct when the panel meter appears to be indicating incorrectly or inaccurately, even after troubleshooting with the factory
Input A signal wiring connections
Input B signal wiring connections
Before starting, verify that the precision signal source is connected to the correct terminals and ready. Allow a 30 minute warm-up period before calibrating the meter.
DSP and PAR can be chosen to exit the calibration mode without any changes taking place.
Perform the following procedure:
1. Use the arrow keys to display CODE 48 IN MENU 9-FCS and press PAR.
2. Choose the range to be calibrated by using the arrow keys and press PAR. (CAL NO and PAR can be chosen to exit the calibration mode without any changes taking place.) Select CAL OUT if calibrating an optional output card. Press PAR.
3. When the zero range limit appears on the display, reference the above input channel and signal type wiring diagram for the applicable connection points. Apply the appropriate:
- Voltage ranges: dead short applied
- Current ranges: open circuit
4. Press PAR and the top range limit will appear on the display after approximately one second.
5. When the top range limit appears on the display, reference the above input channel and signal type wiring diagram for the applicable connection points. Apply the appropriate:
- Voltage ranges: 10 Vdc
- Current ranges: 20 mA
6. Press PAR and CAL NO will appear on the display after approximately 1 second.
7. When CAL NO appears, press PAR twice.
8. If the meter is not field scaled, then the input display should match the value of the input signal.
9. Repeat the above procedure for each input channel and signal range to be calibrated.
