Abstract
Sometimes, after successfully upgrading from older versions of the Sixnet I/O Tool Kit to the latest version, the tool kit will not open. This document shows how to work around that issue.

Use Case: Upgrading to a new version of Tool Kit causes it to not start
Required Software
Sixnet I/O Tool Kit 5.0.100 or above
Tool Kit will not start
- Click on sxtools.exe or shortcut and tool kit will just not start. After Clicking on it nothing happens.
- Check Compatibility mode. Right-click on sxtools.exe or the shortcut and go to Properties. Click on the Compatibility tab. If the compatibility mode is checked this needs to be adjusted.
- Uncheck Compatibility mode. Click on the ‘Change settings for all users’ button. Unselect the compatibility mode check box. Apply and click OK.
