Sometimes the first initial load after a firmware update will fail. This document shows how to work around this issue.
Use Case: Load configuration after the firmware is updated
Sixnet I/O Tool Kit 5.0.103 or above
ST-IPm-8460 firmware 7.0.100 or above
Load after Firmware Upgrade
- Select Serial for communication and upgrade firmware. Go to Device>>Select and a serial port on the computer. Connect from the computer to Serial Port B and Ethernet on the RTU. Go to Operations>>Advanced Operations>>Upgrade Firmware. Follow the on-screen directions. After firmware update is complete select the load configuration and click finish.
- Load Fails. Sometimes that first load will fail once the load gets to ‘load port settings.’ The TD and RD LEDs will be blinking continuously but the status will be stuck at 90% and will not continue. To fix cancel the load, cycle power on the RTU, and restart the project load.
