Q. I am looking to program a brand new DA10D out of the box and cannot seem to locate the default IP Address. What is the default IP Address of the unit?
A. DA10D does not have a default IP Address. Ethernet port is disabled by default in DA10D unit. You would need to download a Crimson configuration with Ethernet settings enabled via USB, RS232(pgm port) or via image.ci3 file using memory card following which you can use Ethernet to download/upload. This would also apply for DSP's, Modular Controllers, G3 HMI's, DA30D, CR1000 HMI's, CR3000 HMI's, Graphite HMI's and Graphite Edge Controllers.
Below is the tech note that explains how to load the program via image.ci3 file using memory card
Q. What is the default username and password of a Flexedge DA50A and DA70A unit?
A. username is admin and the password can be located on the side of the DA70A after removing the Sleds. See the picture below on where/how to remove the sleds
User name for a DA50A is admin and Password can be located on the sticker printed on the side of the unit.
Q. I keep running into an error message- “ERROR – The target device is not compatible with this file.” when I try to download the program to the unit.
A. This indicates that the currently open Crimson file is not suited for the device. Click File-Save Conversion to convert to the correct model. In some cases, you could be using Crimson 3.1 when the model you have is compatible only with Crimson 3.0 or vice versa.
Q. What does the error message - "ERROR- The device does not contain an uploadable image.” imply?
A. This error means that Link -> support upload was not checked when the program was originally downloaded to the unit which means there is no way to extract/upload the program from the unit. Not even the factory can upload it
Q. What is the default IP of DA50A/DA70A device?
A. Ethernet 1 port is set for DHCP by default while Ethernet 2 has a default IP of 192.168.222.222
Q. I have a old G308A000 model HMI which is no longer working and I am interested in purchasing a CR3000 10'inch HMI. How do I convert Crimson 2.0 database written for G308A000 to Crimson 3.1 so that I can download to a CR3000 10 inch HMI?
A. This is a 3 step process
- Open the .cd2 file for G308A000 in Crimson 2.0 software. Go to file -> convert to V2 and save the file under a new name called G308V2.cd2.
- Open Crimson 3.0, go to file -> import and point to .cd2 file and save under a new name called G308V2.cd3
Make sure you validate all tags in Crimson 2.0 before you import.
To validate tags, go to tags section in Crimson 2.0, click on the tags on the top menu bar and you will see "validate all tags".
Open Crimson 3.1, go to file -> import and point to G308V2.cd3 following which you will have options to pick CR3000 model as seen below
Q. I see G3 HMI with an exclamation for USB driver in device manager and see code 39 when I right click on properties. How to fix this?
A. Open the registry editor by typing in regedit on your Windows7/10/11 search bar and change the Enabled value of HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Device Guard\
Scenarios\HypervisorEnforcedCodeIntegrity to 0.
Restart your PC after you do this and that should take care of it.
Q. My CR3000 HMI is stuck in the boot screen where it's showing CR3000 logo and boot v10 on the bottom. How to fix this?
A. This was a known issue in Crimson 3.1 builds prior to build 3116. Please follow the instructions in the tech note on how to get around this issue.
